Learning Objectives

On successful completion of this workshop and its activities, participants will have demonstrated the ability to:

  • Define and estimate the size of the target market of their social enterprise;
  • Identify and articulate their approach to market segmentation;
  • Identify and develop clear channels to reach their customer segments;
  • Examine and articulate their customer segments’ willingness to pay for their products and services;
  • Define and articulate the revenue model that best fits their customer segment(s);
  • Formulate and articulate a clear value proposition for their social enterprise.

Alignment to National Secondary School Curriculum

The following are Caribbean Examination Council’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) subject areas that are considered synergistic with the SSEI Programme:

  1. Principles of Business – Section 6 (Marketing);
  2. Other specific technical subjects (Clothing & Textile; Food & Nutrition; Wood Work; Information Technology; etc.).

Workshop - Creating value for customers & beneficiaries

The Creating Value for Customers & Beneficiaries workshop will focus on the outward face or (customer) touch points of the business model, providing participants with the opportunity to learn about their target markets, serviceable markets and how to develop and serve their customer segments. Participants will be introduced to and learn how to define the size of their target market, develop customer segments, channels and their value proposition.
